Noha is a TENS machine - that’s Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation if you want to get fancy. Noha works by applying a small electrical current through two compression pads (the Love Handles) that are placed over nerve roots that supply the sensory fibres to the uterus and/or lower back. Once in place, the stimulation prevents pain signals from travelling to the brain, causing the muscles in the uterine area to relax and resulting in a calming analgesic effect 😌
Absolutely! Noha is intended for the relief of primary menstrual pain (dysmenorrhoea). But it may also help to relieve the pain of secondary menstrual pain due to conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids, PCOS, adenomyosis or pelvic inflammatory disease.
Noha can be used as much as you like - yay! Rest assured, the device has undergone thorough clinical testing to ensure it is completely safe to use for prolonged periods of time.
If you do feel discomfort or itchiness using Noha, we suggest taking small breaks or placing the Love Handles in a different spot every few hours. Every single body is different, so see how you feel!
Noha is designed to provide relief across the lower abdomen and lower back.
A fully charged battery should last for a maximum of 12 hours on the lowest setting (there are 14 levels of intensity). If you choose a higher intensity, the battery won't last as long, but you should still get about 5 - 8 hours 🙌🏼
First of all - congratulations! Unfortunately, we can’t recommend the use of Noha to anyone who is currently pregnant.
Absolutely, Noha is safe to use with both synthetic and copper IUDs - however, if you're ever unsure we always recommend checking in with your doctor to be certain.
Great question. Noha is a non-invasive, drug-free pain-management solution that has undergone rigorous clinical testing. It is also FDA approved, TGA certified and CE marked. The risk of adverse side effects is considered low.
Short answer: Yes!
Long answer: it depends on your level of cover!
Noha is a class 2a medical device. Medical devices can fall under different umbrellas in health insurance including (but not limited to): Health Aids and Appliances, Ancillary or Extras cover.
Before placing an order, we suggest contacting your insurer and confirm your level of cover and how much you can claim. You'll receive a tax invoice after you've purchased Noha that you can pass onto your provider.
We think you'll love Noha, but we understand that all bodies are different. If Noha doesn't help with your pain or if you change your mind, you have 100 days from delivery to request a free return and get your money back 🙌
Please note our Painless Returns policy covers orders from Australia, New Zealand, United States, UK or Canada.
Sticky gels may be reused until the stickiness is lost. We estimate that each set will last you approximately 8-10 uses when used, stored and cared for properly.
A super important question and we totally understand your concern! The good news is that Noha has zero effect on fertility and is totally safe to use while trying to conceive!
While some customers choose to sleep wearing Noha, we cannot recommend it for regulatory reasons. Caution is advised due to the increased risk of electrical impulses (via the Love Handles) being applied to the neck, chest, thorax and/or face during sleep which can be dangerous.
